The Crunch/ Supernova is the result of a single day of tracking at Quin Grunden's studio in Bentleigh East at the end of 2021. This day of recording is what would be the final recording session under the moniker 'Beatnik Collective'. The two tracks are vastly different, Supernova being a cinematic synth infused house-esque track and The Crunch being a one take jam taken from an improvised gig at Workshop bar. Since recording these two tracks, the band has changed members with Crispin moving to Canada and leaving Dan as the only original member. Since this recording session the band has decided to change their name to EVENING NEWS. This will be the last release under Beatnik Collective and we thank you all for the journey you've come along with us xo
